Featured Project
Everton Football Club required a full re-design and build for the 2008 / 09 Season. I provided all page designs along with XHTML / CSS templates, assisted with the new community portal called 'YourEverton' and maintained the online brand through supplying all internal banners and e-mail templates.
I'll soon be re-locating to Norwich and starting a new role as Web Designer for Norwich Union! I'll update my site with any of the many Aviva projects I'm sure I'll be working on as soon as I can.
About SL25
Welcome to SL25, I'm Simon Leedham and I have been designing and building XHTML/CSS valid websites since 2000. My work in the digital industry takes account of the latest usability guidelines and web standards while also fulfilling the client's expectations. I currently work as a 'Senior Designer' for Rippleffect, creating websites for a variety of clients, from small start-ups to national and regional agencies. This portfolio is a showcase of some of the websites from my career to date.
Portfolio
A re-design of an existing site carried out while at Rippleffect. The Greater Merseyside arm of the Aimhigher organisation had a site which was over 6 years old and needed something a little more current and visually appealing.
Rippleffect have been working with BeautyBay for 3 years and the new look site has just launched. Not only an e-commerce site, the new design incorporates a full online magazine style section called 'Essential Beauty'.
Business Link Northwest, a free business advice and support service invited Rippleffect to tender for the re-design of their site. This homepage was the response we provided as part of the tender response.
The Rotary Club of Great Britain and Ireland required a re-design of their existing site to set it apart from the International and District sites. Integrating a shop and members area, this was a large project!
Key Retirement Solutions required a site, and brand identity, to aid the marketing and sale of their Equity Release products. The new site generated enough leads to pay for the development costs within 3 weeks.
This Yorkshire based site has gone from strength to strength delivering the latest business news daily via the site and email. We have just added a Northwest version with a Midlands version coming soon!
This Netherlands based recruitment site was created on a freelance basis. I designed each page template according to the spec and supplied individual Photoshop files which were then turned into HTML by the client.
Rippleffect created a pitch for the re-design of the Premier League website, including this concept for the new homepage, along with internal page concepts. Unfortunately the project was awarded to another agency.
While adhering to strict NHS brand guidelines the NHS Technology Adoption Centre site was required to encourage the use of innovative technologies. A simple and clean site, livened up a little by simple animation.
Icebreaker, a new and innovative mobile phone based interactive friendship service needed a fresh, bright and attractive design. The site, however, was only live for a few months before the business collapsed.
The Welding Units site, a simple information based website has helped the company gain a strong online prescence and expand into Europe and beyond. I am now working on expanding the site by adding additional language options.
The Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership wanted a clean, crisp site to simply promote the building and architecture work they carry out. The simple layout aids accesibility and lets the content take centre stage.
Rapid Hardware, Liverpool's largest independent DIY store, requested a simple brochure site to give them an online prescence. This site is now being expanded to include an online shop to begin e-commerce.
Based in the Northwest, Penkeths Furniture required a small brochure site to showcase their leading office furniture ranges. This simple site, enhanced with interactive flash elements was created to replace an outdated initial site.
