Please see below for a selection of projects from my past 11 years in the Web Design industry. Projects range from the re-design of Everton FC’s website to the complete design and build of a brand new recruitment consultant based in the UK. My portfolio includes both work from time spent working at agencies and on a freelance basis.
Ideal Hair and Beauty
Ideal Hair & Beauty approached me to lead the re-design of their site while a development agency looked after the integration into a full e-commerce solution. The brief required a clean and clear site, allowing easy navigation to all products while utilising the bright and vibrant colours from the company logo. The result is an eye-catching, clean look and feel that I hope will outshine their old site!
Vitas Ibiza
Working alongside an ex-colleague and now business owner in his own right, I designed the look and feel for this high-end Villa rental expert in Ibiza. Collaborating fully, the design was then converted to a CMS based website by Magnar and launched by them for the client.
Tacit IT
A recent design competition on 99designs required a simple, clean and elegant design for a small business IT consultant and my design won the competition. The final deliverables were a series of layered Photoshop files which enabled a partner developer to create the HTML and integrate into a CMS.
Synthis
One of the projects I have won on 99designs, this design was created to refresh an outdated website for a leading process modelling software creator. After winning the competition, Synthis then approached me to create the base XHTML/CSS templates for the site which they could then use to skin their CMS of choice.
Mase Consulting
A custom WordPress build, this site was created for a new start-up business specialising in sales, marketing and technical recruitment. The client required a clean, crisp, corporate design that portrayed the business as a serious contender in the market. I created the initial designs, XHTML and then converted the site to a WordPress theme.
Ohrizon
After viewing my portfolio on 99designs I was approached by Ohrizon to design and build a full content managed site. The design has been converted to a fully functional WordPress theme allowing the client full control over all content. I also integrated the ‘Shopp’ plugin for WordPress to allow the client to sell their add-ons online.
fonmigo
Following a successful competition entry on 99designs, fonmigo then approached me to work on a number of side projects for the new business. This included corporate printed material, stand artwork for trade shows and the development and build of the new site.
Oxfootstone Granary
Working alongside a knowledgable developer I created the front-end design of this project and supplied layered Photoshop files to allow the site, for a local B&B, to be built. The result is a clean but attractive layout, utilising local imagery, that has raised the profile of the business locally.
Wilson McHardy
Specialising in strategic advice, investment and leasing for the luxury market in London, Wilson McHardy required a site that differed from the usual corporate look and feel. This site was created to promote the client base of the business, which includes Dunhill, Grosvenor, Gucci, Thomas Sabo and Lord Alan Sugar to name but a few.
BeautyBay
Over a relationship lasting 3 years, I worked with BeautyBay to develop their online prescence and build their website into more than just another e-commerce store. Created while working at Rippleffect, this version of the site is the second complete re-design that I created for the business, featuring articles and feature content along with an online shop.
Aimhigher Greater Merseyside
A re-design of an site carried out while at Rippleffect. The Greater Merseyside arm of Aimhigher had a site which was over 6 years old and needed something a little more current and visually appealing. While retaining all online content and exceeding the client’s expectations, this new design took 3 weeks to complete.
Everton FC
One of the largest projects I have worked on in my 11 year career, I was the lead designer on the 2008 re-design of evertonfc.com, which included the design and build of over 30 individual page templates. I also lead the development of all internal online banner advertising for the club and provided consultancy for many digital campaigns.
Rotary Club of Great Britain
The Rotary Club of Great Britain and Ireland required a re-design of their existing site to set it apart from the International and District sites. Integrating a shop and members area, as well as many dynamic content pages, this was a complex project, involving numerous stakeholders. All appreciated the work and creativity supplied for the new site.
The Business Desk
This site has gone from strength to strength delivering the latest business news daily via the site and numerous email blasts to three major areas of the UK. Originally designed over 3 years ago, the site has remained largely unchanged from the original concepts, showing the confidence the client has in the look and feel of the site.
